KUSB/xx USB Data Traveler Installation Instructions for Windows 98 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: If your system is running Windows ME, 2000, or XP then it is not necessary to install this software. Simply plug in the hardware and the necessary driver files will be installed by Windows ME, 2000, or XP. Windows 98 Users: 1. Download the file named "KUSB_WIN98_1-2.EXE". 2. Decompress the "KUSB_WIN98_1-2.EXE" file by double clicking on it. Extract it to a location of your choice. Be sure to note the location where the files are extracted. The default location is c:\temp\KUSB 3. Connect the KUSB/xx USB Data Traveler to your computer's USB port. 4. The "Add New Hardware Wizard" will appear. Click 'Next' to begin. 5. Select "Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended)" and click 'Next'. 6. Select "Specify a Location" and enter the location from step 2 (e.g. c:\temp\KUSB) and click 'Next'. 7. Windows should display a message that it is ready to install the best driver for the device. Click 'Next'. 8. Click 'Finish' to complete the driver installation. 9. To access the drive, double click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop. A new drive letter is created for the drive. Transferring files is a simple drag and drop operation.
